Information/Requirements

When registering a new student for Religious Education classes, grades 1 thru 8, a parent must come into the Religious Education office with a copy of the child’s Baptismal Certificate.  Prior records are required for children in grades 2 thru 8 who attended Religious Education classes in another Church.  The fee of $175.00 (cash, check or credit card) is due upon registration.  There is a family rate for three or more students of $425.00.  Families must be registered parishioners in order to put children in the Religious Education program here at St. Matthew, meaning they get mailings and tithing envelopes from the Church.  You can register both your children and the family by filling out a Census form which is available from the Religion Department when you come to register your child/children for classes.

For safety reasons, all students, grades 1 thru 6, must be signed in and out by a parent or adult.  Students in the 7th and 8th grades can be dropped off at the door by the Gym and come right upstairs to their classrooms but must be signed out each week by a parent or adult.

Please contact our Director of Religious Education, Mary Donaldson, (631) 864-3321 for more information.

Thank you.
