CYO Role Models Award Dinner
CYO ROLE MODELS AWARD DINNER
The CYO organization provides a wonderful opportunity for our young participants to have good role models. The Annual Dinner celebration was held at the Woodbury Country Club on Friday evening, May 4th. It is an occasion to recognize by name those who have fulfilled that role in an exemplary manner.

Congratulations to Sister Kay McCarthy and Joseph Grieco
St. Matthew R.C Church, Dix Hills
Congratulations to this year’s CYO role models Sister Kay McCarthy and Joseph Grieco, each of whom represent our parish with honor and dignity in all that they do! We are all very proud of the efforts and commitment you put forth in the name of the St. Matthew parish.
Joseph Grieco has been actively involved in the St. Matthew athletic program, as a coach for Intramural and CYO teams, for over 10 years. The final season came to a fitting end as he led his boys High School team to the championship game. Joe has been a champion throughout his tenure always focusing his effort and that of his players on the core values of CYO and St. Matthew; sportsmanship, teamwork, competition and integrity!!
Sister Kay McCarthy has been the athletic program Moderator for many years. She has held the program together and helped raise it back to a place of prominence in the local and church communities. Sister Kay is known as the “Mayor” around the gym as she is ever present spreading her charm and kindness upon everyone in the program. She is the glue that holds us all together and is a very worthy recipient of this honor every year!I am grateful to and pray for God’s blessing on our Athletic Director, Chris Felice, and on all who have participated, volunteered and supported our Athletic Program.
