St. Matt’s Youth Ministry
I am the new Youth Minister here at St Matt’s. My name is Gina Drost and I thought you might like to know a little about me. I grew up in Merrick attending Cure’ of Ars Parish and was very active in youth ministry, folk group and the parish festival. I got married and moved to Copiague, a small community on the south shore between Amityville and Lindenhurst. I became a catechist, and this started me on the way to help out in many different ministries and for the last 6 years I have been the Confirmation coordinator. I have studied at the Pastoral Formation Institute graduating in 2010 and this year completed the Catechetical Leadership Program for Children and Youth. I am looking forward to this new journey and would love to hear your thoughts. I can be reached at
