Being a Lector is a very special Ministry. Lectors proclaim God’s message to His people, our fellow parishioners. During Liturgy on Sundays, Holy Days of Obligation and other special occasions. We also read Prayer of the Faithful and Parish announcements. It is exciting to be a part of the mass celebration.
Lector’s schedules require approximately three masses in a ten-week period. Consideration is given to personal commitment and Mass preference. Instruction and practice is provided prior to your first reading. Young parishioners ages 13 and up are invited to join this ministry. They serve at the 9:45 mass on Sunday and generally are required to serve two masses in a ten-week period.
