We, at St. Matthews, as part of the Mystical Body of Christ, are stewards of the gifts received who strive to share those gifts in the service of the Lord. We are nourished by God’s Word and the Eucharist so that we may be leaven and a sign of Christ in our world. We strive to pass on our Catholic Faith and tradition to our young people to enable them to grow in the experience of God’s abiding love.
Through our loving community, we support one another as we strive to become more like Christ as we journey toward our Father in a spirit of Faith, Hope and Love.
We pray and walk with Jesus Christ for the greater glory of God the Father through the Holy Spirit in the daily and Sunday Eucharist, the other Sacraments; and in our humble witness of teaching, preaching, and caring for the poor in body and in spirit.
We ask each of you to consider the gifts God has given you. Consider sharing them by volunteering an hour more each week in some area of Church ministry. If you are already ministering in our parish perhaps you can give a little more time and talent.
